DESCRIPTION: APW - Elgin, B.W. Raymond with winding indicator, Grade 390, 21J, 18S, gold-filled OF original case with attractive engine turning and engraving detail, white enamel DS dial with marginal minute numerals and Canadian market 13 to 24 hour indications, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, diamond endstone, gold-plated hairspring and hairspring stud, nickel damascene, s#15900152. An excellent example throughout of this uncommon 21 jewel 18 size winding indicator, highlighted by its scarce Canadian market dial. The gold-plated hairspring of this example is an uncommon feature which Elgin offered among higher grade movements of this era for purposes of corrosion resistance and Elgin termed this a "gilt hairspring."
